In this role, you will ensure accurate coding of medical records and clinical data, essential for patient care, insurance reimbursement, and compliance with healthcare regulations. - Review and analyze clinical documentation to accurately assign codes to diagnoses, procedures, and treatments using classification systems
- Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations to maintain quality and integrity
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify information and resolve coding discrepancies
- Stay updated with changes in coding practices and healthcare regulations
- Generate reports and summaries as needed for auditing and performance analysis
- Participate in educational opportunities to enhance coding skills and knowledge
- Proven experience in clinical coding within a healthcare setting, preferably in a GP practice
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in coding
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote environment
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with clinical staff
- £24,375-£27,500 per annum based on full-time hours
- Full-time, part-time contractor roles available (minimum 15 hours)
