Ortus Health is currently seeking a detail-oriented Remote Clinical Coder to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will ensure accurate coding of medical records and clinical data, essential for patient care, insurance reimbursement, and compliance with healthcare regulations. This position offers the flexibility of remote work and the opportunity to contribute to our mission of enhancing healthcare delivery through quality coding.

Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze clinical documentation to accurately assign codes to diagnoses, procedures, and treatments using classification systems
  • Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations to maintain quality and integrity
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify information and resolve coding discrepancies
  • Stay updated with changes in coding practices and healthcare regulations
  • Generate reports and summaries as needed for auditing and performance analysis
  • Participate in educational opportunities to enhance coding skills and knowledge
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in clinical coding within a healthcare setting, preferably in a GP practice
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in coding
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote environment
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with clinical staff
