Overview

We are a remote-first company helping dental and veterinary clinics manage recurring payments and memberships. We currently support over 5,000 dental practices in the UK and onboard 100+ new practices each month. Our goal is to scale our multi-product strategy, including our newest product, Plans, and expand to additional primary healthcare providers and regions.

Tabeo is profitable and focused on growing revenue and market leadership in patient finance and plans. We work with a remote-first culture and host Team Weeks twice a year to collaborate in person.

Role

We are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to join our two cross-functional product teams. You will play a key role as we scale our systems and services to support our growing platform.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of our multi-product strategy, focusing on the Plans product and expansion to new audiences and regions
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design, implement, and maintain backend services
• Work with our legacy system while helping migrate and scale using modern infrastructure
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement of engineering practices

Technologies

• Go for application logic
• Google Cloud and AWS for infrastructure
• Confluent Kafka for events handling
• Serverless AWS components (API Gateway, Lambda, EventBridge, DynamoDB) and Docker
• PostgreSQL for databases
• Frontend uses JavaScript and TypeScript, hosted on Vercel

Interview Process

• Initial recruiter call
• Take-home task (up to ~2 hours) or discuss a public GitHub sample
• Technical interview with the engineering team
• Behavioural interview with the product team
• If offered, a meeting with the CEO to discuss any questions
