Job summary
A prominent DAF truck dealer in Corby is seeking an HGV Technician to join their dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in HGV or related fields, and an eagerness to learn. Responsibilities include servicing, fault diagnostics, and vehicle repairs. We offer a competitive salary between £37,000 to £45,000, excellent training, and a supportive work environment. - Willingness to train if relocating from Light Commercial or Car Technician.
Responsibilities
- Servicing and maintaining a wide variety of Trucks and Vehicles.
- Performing fault diagnostics and mechanical/electrical repairs.
- Carrying out MOT preparations and road tests as required.

As an HGV Technician,we can offer you:
- Earnings of £37,000 to £45,000 per year (depending on your HGV Technician experience and working pattern)
- 4, 10 hour days, Monday to Friday

Who are we looking for as an HGV Technician:
- You will have previous experience working as an HGV Technician / Mechanic within the HGV, Commercial Vehicle, LGV, PSV, Heavy Plant, Car or an associated sector.
- If you are a Light Commercial or Car Technician who would like to transfer your skills, then we can offer you training to become an HGV Technician.
- Ideally have a qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Skills to follow company processes for completing all paperwork including accurate completion of job cards and service records.
- General level of computer literacy is advantageous.
- Full UK driving licence.
The HGV Technician role / responsibilities include(but not limited to):
Servicing and maintaining a wide variety of Trucks and Vehicles. Fault Diagnostics. MOT Preparation. Mechanical and Electrical repairs. Ensure repairs are carried out according to manufacturer’s procedures and in a safe and responsible manner. Road test vehicle when required, subject to licence restrictions. Attend any technical or development training that is made available.
Shift Pattern: 4, 10 hour days, Monday to Friday.
Saturday morning paid as overtime.
