Job summary
A well-established accountancy practice in Northern Ireland is seeking a qualified Audit and Accounts Senior to manage external audits and prepare statutory accounts. The role involves client management, mentoring junior staff, and working in collaboration with an experienced team. Candidates should have ACCA or ACA qualifications, experience in audit, and the ability to work independently. As the successful Audit and Accounts Senior, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Report to the Audit Partner
- Managing a portfolio of clients
- End‑to‑end external audit
- Statutory accounts
- Assist with the training of junior members of staff
- Corporate and personal tax compliance
- 60% audit and 40% accounts preparation
- Systems: Xero and Tax calc
The successful Audit and Accounts Senior will meet the following criteria:
- Qualified ACCA/ACA
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in external audit
- Experience in accounts preparation
- Experience mentoring juniors
- Experience in practice or Big4
- Experience dealing with a varied client base
