We are seeking to appoint an inspiring a French and Spanish Specialist at an exciting time in the school’s development. This is a fixed-term, maternity-cover appointment from mid-April 2026 to December 2026 (approx.).

About the role We are seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to teach French and Spanish through the school, who will be willing to make a wider contribution to the life of this ambitious, busy and exciting school.

The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner and have a passion for teaching that will shine through in the classroom. They will enjoy teaching pupils across varying age groups including 2–13 years. A warm manner, initiative, excellent organisational and communication skills are central to this role. Also important is the ability to think creatively, build a strong rapport with pupils, colleagues, and parents.

Responsibilities The role includes planning and delivering French and Spanish lessons for pupils aged 2–13, contributing to the wider life of the school, collaborating with colleagues, and communicating with parents to support student progress. The teacher will uphold high standards of teaching and behaviour, assess and track pupil progress, and participate in department and school activities as required.

Qualifications and qualities An excellent classroom practitioner with a passion for language teaching, the ability to engage pupils across a range of ages, strong organisational and communication skills, creativity, and a collaborative approach to working with staff, pupils, and families.
