Job summary
A family-owned food production company in Pontefract is seeking a Security Officer for a permanent position. The role requires ensuring site security, managing visitor access, and conducting patrols. Shifts rotate, with hours from 06:30 to 18:30 and vice versa, totaling 57.5 hours per week. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. - Provide the first point of contact for visitors, employees, and suppliers 24/7.
- Ensure buildings on site are always kept secure.
- Undertake hourly site patrols and report any abnormal activities.
- Ensure visitors comply with procedures regarding H&S and Fire.
- Issue required passes and visibility vests to contractors and visitors.
- Carry out ad hoc checks on vehicle and personal belongings when staff leave site.
- Monitor security cameras appropriately.
