Crafted is a series of life‑friendly hotels and spaces where guests can be themselves and fill up on the good stuff: nature, food, wellbeing, craft, people and play. Crafted’s culture will be inclusive and agile but with ambitious goals and a start‑up mentality. We need to execute brilliantly from day one and every team member will contribute wherever they are able. As a kitchen porter, your primary responsibilities focus on maintaining cleanliness, supporting kitchen operations, and assisting chefs and kitchen staff. Here’s a breakdown of your key duties:

• Wash pots, pans, utensils, and cooking equipment.
• Keep kitchen surfaces, floors, and walls clean and sanitized.
• Ensure dishwashers and sinks are clean and functioning properly.
• Empty bins and dispose of kitchen waste correctly.

• Assist with basic food prep (e.g., peeling vegetables, preparing ingredients).
• Ensure food prep areas are clean, organized, and stocked.

• Unload deliveries and correctly store food and kitchen supplies.
• Monitor stock levels of cleaning materials and basic ingredients.
• Rotate stock to ensure proper food safety and reduce waste.

• Follow hygiene and food safety standards (e.g., HACCP guidelines).
• Wear appropriate protective clothing and report hazards or issues.
• Help with pest control measures and deep cleaning tasks.

• Respond quickly to requests from chefs and other kitchen staff.
• Keep walk‑ins and cold storage clean and organized.
• Assist with setting up and closing down the kitchen.

• Good physical stamina and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to hygiene.
• Teamwork and good communication.
• Willingness to learn and take direction.
• Ability to assist with simple prep tasks like peeling, chopping, and portioning.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure, especially during busy service times.
