As the Senior Engineering Manager at NewStore, you will lead high‑impact engineering teams within complex domains, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration. Your role extends beyond project execution – you’ll shape engineering strategy, mentor talent, and ensure long‑term technical sustainability while driving the growth of our industry‑leading Omni‑Channel Point‑of‑Sale platform.

You will lead one or more teams in crafting cutting‑edge solutions that empower retail brands to deliver exceptional shopping experiences across every channel. This role goes beyond delivering on a strategy – it requires building and shaping the teams that can execute it.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead complex domains: Manage multiple teams within complex technical domains, shaping organizational and technical complexity before it reaches your teams.
  • Drive strategic direction: Shape domain‑level strategy and architectural direction, ensuring alignment with company goals while preventing unnecessary complexity – from tech debt decisions to exploring new market opportunities.
  • Build exceptional teams: Shape and build the teams needed to deliver on strategic initiatives, including managing and setting direction for staff engineers.
  • Navigate ambiguity: Work with your teams to test new ideas and learn quickly from what works and what doesn’t, while maintaining stakeholder alignment.
  • Champion engineering excellence: Champion pairing, TDD, and continuous delivery – and, when possible, join the pairing sessions yourself. Help teams stay fast without cutting corners.
