A CNC Machinist opportunity has become available with a leading precision engineering manufacturer supplying complex, high-accuracy components into demanding sectors. The role is based in the Northampton area and offers a salary circa of £47,500, 33 days annual leave, daytime working hours, readily available overtime paid at time‑and‑a‑half and double time, and a broader comprehensive benefits plan detailed below.

• Setting and Operating 3, 4, and 5‑axis CNC Milling machines using FANUC/Heidenhain controls.
• Performing First‑Off Inspection by accurately reading engineering drawings.
• Running proven programmes, adjusting tool and work offsets, and making minor program edits.
• Preparing tooling and fixtures, applying scheduled machine maintenance, and adhering to 5S principles.
• Ensuring the quality and output of components meets agreed production schedules and specifications.

• Proven experience as a CNC Setter/Operator with a strong background knowledge of milling processes.
• Must be fully competent operating machines using FANUC and/or Heidenhain controls.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret complex engineering drawings.
• Skilled in using a wide variety of measuring equipment for 1st off inspection and quality checks.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot problems and support quick resolution on the shop floor.
