About HS2:

• The rolewill work on the HS2 project. HS2 is the UK’s new high speed rail network. Itwill be a catalyst for economic growth across Britain, freeing up space on theexisting railways and connecting 8 out of the UK’s 10 biggest cities with fast,reliable and frequent high speed services
• TheSkanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 London TunnelsContract. Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaftsinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworksand the construction of site compounds.

Key Role & Responsibilities:

• Thisapprenticeshipscheme shall give you the opportunity to work and learn about BuildingInformationModelling- BIM. It is a great opportunity asBIMisthe foundation of digital transformation in the architecture, engineering, andconstruction industries..
• Review of consultant Building Information Models (visualinterrogation & detailed interrogation utilising specialist software)
• Production of clash detection reports within specialist software.(Itwins or Navis)
• Attend BIM Design Review Meetings to discuss / review clashesidentified within combined BIM and production of conceptual & detailed model (Architectural andStructural BIM’s) for internal and external purposes
• Presentation visualisations of whole or elements of scheme, byusing power BI.
• Technical assistance to other parts of the Technical Departmentduring BIM implementation, (e.g. methods if project requires logisticsinformation to be produced in 3D)
• Data base interrogation / maintenance and reporting.
• Understand the Client and Joint Venture Partners' Environment and Sustainability Policies, Processes and statutory requirements as they affect the company's operations and ensure that the requirements, as applicable within their discipline, are implemented on the project.
