An opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Team manager to join our multi disciplinary team.

The Crisis Response Team provide interventions to young people at the point of mental health crisis.

The team provide a 24/7 service which allows for flexibility from a 9-5 working pattern .

As the Deputy Team Manager you will be responsible for deputising fin the absence of the Clinical Team Manager.

Base will be in Knowsley although travelling to multiple sites and the community is required. The services operates 24hrs, 365 days.

You will be expected to work a fully flexible rota. Inclusive of both night and day shifts.

You will receive out of hours enhancements to you pay. As the role includes working across several localities you will also be able to reclaim travel expenses.

You will support the Team Manager in carrying continuing professional and managerial responsibility for their clinical area.

You will also contribute to maintenance of the overall standards, which will include assessment of need and delivery of care within the context of Effective Care Coordination

Main duties of the job

Deputise for the Clinical Team Manager as required.

Undertake delegated responsibilities as agreed with Clinical Team Manager.

Support the formulation and implementation of clinical / operational practices, and procedures as appropriate.

Support the implementation, monitoring and updating of an operational policy and philosophy for the clinical area.

Ensure the principles of Clinical Governance are incorporated in service delivery by maintaining a high quality service based on agreed clinical standards.

Assist in the development of local protocols to ensure a high standard of service delivery is achieved and maintained.

Support the process of staff participation in the formulation of new ideas/suggestions to improve service user care and service delivery.

Assist in the investigation of complaints and incidents at ward level in accordance with Trust policy.

Participate in Incident investigations/reviews as required

Provide relevant staff with the necessary management supervision regarding the coordination and delegation of duties, to ensure a comprehensive and consistent delivery of care is maintained.Participate in managerial supervision.

Appropriate participation of managing performance of staff as required.

Appropriate participation of managing attendance of staff as required.

You will also be required to work in the team numbers when required to assist with assessment and clinical caseload

Job responsibilities

Assist in the development and implementation of integrated care pathways, includingappropriate service user assessments/referrals and models of care.

Participate in case supervision to monitor standards of service user care anddocumentation.

Participate in regular clinical supervision as per Trust policy

Ensure the environment is conducive to promote service users health, safety and wellbeing, thereby preserving and respecting each service users personal dignity, privacy, religious and cultural beliefs.

Ensure record keeping is in accordance with Professional and Trust standards

Ensure the safe management of medicines and adhere to safe practice and principles ofadministration in accordance with the NMC code of professional conduct and TrustMedicines Code.

Work in a professional and collaborative manner with the Multi-disciplinary team.

Participate and promote positive intra-agency working.

Participate in the referral process of potential new referrals, including the assessment ofsuch individuals in accordance with the agreed care pathway and the completion of quality reports where appropriate

Participate and assist in setting standards of service user care based on sound researchfindings

Where indicated and following completion of the relevant training the practitioner will act as a non-medical prescriber, at all times working within their sphere of clinicalcompetence.

Qualifications
  • Registered Core Professional Social Worker or Nurse and up to date Professional Registration (to be maintained).
