Job summary
A prominent NHS Trust in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to support renal transplant patients through their outpatient journey. This full-time role involves caring for patients up to listing and post-transplant under a 9-month fixed-term contract. Applicants must have at least 3 years of nursing experience in an acute setting and 2 years in renal. The position offers competitive compensation within the Agenda for Change pay scheme.

A rare opportunity to join the small, but dynamic team of transplant specialist nurses. This is a fixed term contract (9 months). The role involves working with and supporting renal transplant recipients, within the outpatient setting, throughout their transplant journey, including working renal patients up to go onto the transplant list and caring for them post transplant. In this role you will be supported to develop skills to see patients autonomously within the clinic setting.

- Support renal transplant recipients in the outpatient setting throughout their transplant journey.
- Engage with renal patients up to listing and provide care post transplants.
- Develop and demonstrate autonomous patient assessment within the clinic setting.

Essential Criteria:
- Evidence of 3 years experience as a registered nurse in an acute hospital setting.
- Evidence of 2 years experience working in renal.
Desirable Criteria:
- Non-medical prescribing Health Assessment or equivalent qualification.
- Experience of working in transplantation.
