Year-End Accountant – Close, Audit & Reporting
Job summary
A leading consulting firm in Greater London is seeking a Year End Accountant for an initial 4-month period to support the finance team during a busy financial year-end close and audit. The role involves managing the year-end close process, preparing financial reconciliations, and acting as a key point of contact for auditors. Candidates should be fully qualified or part-qualified accountants with strong experience in year-end processes. Immediate availability is essential.
Qualifications
- Experience in year-end close within a commercial environment.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaborative skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage and execute the year-end close process.
- Prepare and review month-end and year-end journals.
- Complete comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare and maintain bank reconciliations.
- Produce year-end audit schedules.
- Analyse variances and provide commentary.
- Support Finance Manager with reporting and project tasks.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
