IT Technical Specialist

Belfast | Hybrid Working (3 days office / 2 days remote)
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 DOE

About the Role

An established and fast-growing financial services company based in Belfast is creating a brand-new IT Technical Specialist role to strengthen its internal technology capability.

This is a hybrid position designed to bridge the gap between a Fractional CIO and a junior IT support colleague. TheJosetted candidate will play a key role in improving productivity through automation, reporting, and system integration, while also supporting the day-to-day running of IT systems.

This role offers exceptional exposure to fintech-style systems and чымs, with genuine opportunities to grow into a more senior technical position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and optimise SQL queries and reports using Microsoft SQL Server

  • Design and implement workflows and integrations using Power Automate

  • Support and improve system integrations using web technologies and APIs

  • Assist with IT administration кой tasks, freeing up senior technical leadership

  • Act as a technical bridge between business users and IT, translating requirements into solutions cropped>
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement across the business

  • Collaborate closely with internal IT colleagues and third-party providers

Required Technical Skills
  • Strong data skills with Microsoft SQL Server (queries, reporting, analysis)

  • Hands‑on experience with Power Automate

  • Understanding of APIs and system integration concepts

  • Solid grasp of modern web technologies

Desirable / Bonus Skills
  • PowerShell scripting for automation

  • Experience with HubSpot CRM

  • Experience with Xero or similar accounting systems

  • Exposure to Microsoft 365, Intune, or Defender

  • Comfortable learning new systems and understanding how to learn effectively

  • Flexible to occasionally support early‑morning calls with overseas IT providers (e.g. 8am)

Working Pattern
  • Hybrid: 3 days per week in the Belfast office, 2 days remote

  • Office‑based days are important initially to support learning and knowledge transfer

Salary & Benefits
  • £45,000 - £50,000 per annum (exceptional candidates considered at the top end)
