Key Responsibilities

Purpose of the role – This placement offers an opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a wide‑ranging communications function and to discover the life science industry. You will work on everything from copywriting to graphic design and videography, supporting internal and external communications in a pioneering biotechnology company.

  • Support maintenance of internal news flow and company internal communications channels
  • Manage content on company intranet and digital signage systems
  • Draft written content for internal news articles, company emails, social media and the company website
  • Editing and formatting of photos and videos for social media, web, intranet and digital signage
  • Videography, video and audio editing
  • Graphic design, including infographics, GIFs, animations and presentations
  • Support the creation and maintenance of company brand materials
  • Contribute to analytics and reporting
  • Ad‑hoc support with event planning and organization
  • Support project & task management, and team planning
Education & qualifications
  • Active enrolment on an undergraduate degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a similar subject
  • Copywriting experience
  • General technical proficiency and adaptability for different platforms and content management systems
  • Familiarity with PowerPoint software and presentation design
  • Experience with image and video editing software (Adobe preferred)
  • Graphic design potential
  • Good use and understanding of English grammar
  • Willingness to learn and eagerness to take on unfamiliar challenges
