Job description
Working Hours

Monday to Friday – 40+ hours per week. Shifts range from a 7am start to a 7pm finish. Sometimes overtime may be required to meet customer demand.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Are you a driven, self-starting individual looking for a workshop-based role with guaranteed full-time hours, a permanent contract, and a fixed annual salary? Due to our continued growth and further planned expansion within the M&E sector, THX require an enthusiastic, practical and pro-active engineer.

This is an indoor workshop-based role at our new purposely designed workshop. The primary function to inspect, service and clean returning tools and equipment and with training moving on to calibration and repair our press tooling and M&E equipment.

We have a friendly environment where the rapid growth of our business means we support the development of our talented people.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Cleaning and maintaining the presentation of equipment.
  • Inspecting and Testing returning hire equipment (Training Provided).
  • Calibration of tools and equipment (Training Provided).
  • PAT testing (Training provided).
  • Repair of Press Fit and M&E Tools (Training Provided).
  • Using a computer-based system for administration.
  • Regularly checking, cleaning, and tidying our yard, workshop, warehouse, and vehicle parking areas.
  • Providing support to our warehouse, workshop and driving teams as required.

Essential experience for the role:

  • Previous experience in the maintenance and/or repair of a range of equipment and tools.
  • Mechanical or electrical experience.
  • Practical understanding and mindset with the ability to work quickly and methodically.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Physically fit and hard-working team player.
  • A can-do attitude with a willingness to help.
  • Ability to concentrate whilst doing repetitive tasks.
