Opcare have been providing the prosthetic and orthotic services in Cambridge since 2003 and have recently been re-awarded the contract, this role is an excellent opportunity to have a key influence within the service to advance and improve the delivery of service.
The department is newly based in a purpose-built facility just to the south of Addenbrookes Hospital, a world-renowned hospital for trauma, cancer and vascular care. The facility has consultant care, amputee rehab and gait lab facilities. There is a complex mix of patients and extended practice clinics which provides a great opportunity to support in the delivery of a world-class service to these patients.
There is an on-site workshop with skilled staff providing a collaborative working approach to device design and manufacture, who require a leader to support with training, development and technical skills to enhance the abilities of our service.
