Our approach is trauma-informed, student-centred, and compassionate, recognising how past experiences can affect emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and learning.As a Wellbeing Practitioner, you will play a vital role in meeting the wellbeing and safeguarding needs of our students. You will provide confidential emotional and mental health support through 1:1 and group interventions, using a trauma-informed approach that promotes safety, trust, empowerment, and resilience. You will support students to access the right help at the right time, helping to remove barriers and enable positive engagement with learning.**We are looking for someone who is:**• Compassionate, empathetic, and genuinely student-centred.• Calm, professional, and resilient in a fast-paced environment, able to manage a range of complex needs.• Experienced in supporting young people and/or adults in a wellbeing, pastoral, safeguarding, or related role.• Confident in building positive, professional relationships with students, colleagues, parents/carers, and external professionals.• Able to motivate and inspire students, including those who may be reluctant to engage.• Organised, self-motivated, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.• Committed to maintaining their own wellbeing, with a clear understanding of professional boundaries, reflective practice, and self-care.Full training will be provided both on the job and through external providers.
