As a Waste Operative you’re a valued and vital part of the portering team, dealing with numerous types of waste using various methods of disposal and transportation. The role is demanding and physical, and you will work with a dedicated and experienced team to deliver an efficient service.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the normal course of their duties. As such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and requires a Disclosure and Barring Service check to screen for any previous convictions.
If the role requires a DBS check we will administer it on your behalf. The cost will be recovered from your salary as a one‑off payment or over 3 months. Basic DBS check £26.40, Standard DBS check £26.40, Enhanced DBS check £54.40. If you withdraw after a successful offer you may be required to reimburse the cost of the DBS check.
In line with guidance from the United Kingdom Health Security Agency, all staff and volunteers must comply with Trust Infection Prevention and Control processes, including mask wearing and adherence to social distancing at all Trust sites.
