Job Description

Role: Supervisor

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Direct line management and coaching of Warehouse Operatives / Trainee Supervisors, including 1:1 discussions to review performance against expectations and setting SMART goals when performance is not met in any key functional area.
  • Collaborating with the Section Manager to monitor delivery to plan and identify areas for shift improvements.
  • Drive performance on key metrics to ensure an efficient warehouse operation that fulfils customer web and store demand on time and in full.
  • Maintain high standards of safety on site, working with the Safety team to ensure adherence to safety routines and procedures (e.g. Floor Safety Inspections, Hazard Spotting, Safety Gembas, Risk Assessments, Audits).
  • Review weekly labour plan to ensure adequate cover; share feedback with the Section Manager and highlight issues.
  • Provide detail when targets are not met and create plans to bridge gaps.
  • Partner with other key stakeholders to ensure all strategic activity is on track and supported.
  • Support the successful implementation of culture change and turnover reduction.
