Job Description

As a Supervisor your key responsibilities will include:

  • Direct line management and coaching of Warehouse Operatives / Trainee Supervisors, including 1:1s to discuss performance vs expectation, identifying SMART goals when performance is not met in key functional areas within responsibility
  • Work with the Section Manager for your department to monitor delivery to plan and identify areas for your shift to improve
  • Drive performance on key metrics to ensure an efficient warehouse operation that can fulfil customer web and store demand on time and in full
  • Maintain high safety standards on site, working with the Safety team to ensure adherence to safety routines/procedures (e.g. Floor Safety Inspections, Hazard Spotting, Safety Gembas, Risk Assessments, Audits)
  • Review weekly labour plan to ensure adequate cover; share with the Section Manager and highlight issues/feedback
  • Provide detail when daily/weekly targets are not met and create plans to bridge gaps
  • Collaborate with the Warehouse Leadership team and other key stakeholders to ensure strategic activity is on track and supported
  • Support the successful implementation of culture change and turnover reduction
