Base pay range
Salary: £32,333 per annum
Shifts/hours: 40 hours per week, PM shift Tue–Sat; 2:00pm–10:00pm Tue–Fri and 08:00am–4:30pm on Saturday
Location: Company Shop Group, Tankersley Distribution Centre, Wentworth Way, Wentworth Industrial Estate, Tankersley, Barnsley, South Yorkshire S75 3DH
Please note: Warehouse Team Supervisors are required to be flexible when working, in order to cover the operational hours, which includes weekends and bank holidays. The job holder may also be required to deputise for the shift manager.

Responsibilities and accountabilities
- Daily management of a dynamic operational environment that may be impacted by deliveries, systems and processes
- Oversee the day-to-day operational activity across all areas including home shopping, chill produce, FLT and warehouse, tray sortation, stock control, goods in/out
- Monitor workflow, identify any potential risk that may impact SLAs and agree timely corrective action through to resolution
- Flexible, fast and effective re-deployment of staff to meet daily challenges and ensure targets/customer expectations are fully met
- Adhere to all environmental, food safety and quality/hygiene procedures when undertaking duties with specific reference to CCPs, escalating as required
- Drive change and continuous improvement – constantly looking for operational improvements, sharing knowledge and leading by example
- Ensure Health & Safety instructions and procedures are followed, including maintenance of machinery, PPE usage, and reporting of hazards and incidents
- Record/report all accidents and near misses and perform investigations in Health & Safety and compliance breaches

- Management of staff, including regular 121s, absence monitoring, disciplinary and grievance handling in line with Company Shop policies
- Recruitment and onboarding of new staff
- Engage your team within and across departments to support cross-functional working relationships
- Regular team briefings, promoting an inclusive team environment with effective communication, motivation, equality and encouragement
- Lead and develop team members to deliver performance against plan and ensure adherence to Company Shop Group policies
- Encourage reporting of near misses and accidents; coach and develop team using development and succession planning tools
- Keep up to date with department information and cascade accordingly
- Uphold Food Safety and Health, Safety & Environmental policies and practices

- Proven record of people management in a large-scale operation
