Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the entire Warehouse floor operation.
  • Deliver weekly brief highlighting performance and requirements.
  • Carry out regular stock checks and cycle counts.
  • Ensure staff are assigned tasks each day.
  • Responsible for managing orders and workload with Warehouse staff.
  • Ensure goods are unloaded and stock updated into ERP.
  • Maintain cleanliness according to 5S principles.
  • Carry out quality checks on key account orders.
  • Responsible for maintenance of warehouse equipment.
  • Process daily communication between Warehouse and Customer Service.

Skills

Understanding and utilisation of ERP & WMS systems
5 Years experience operating within a warehouse operations environment
2 Years experience supervising warehouse operations staff
Good level of numeracy
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Basic IT skills in Excel / Word / Outlook

Job description
  • Be responsible for the entire Warehouse floor operation, continually leading from the front and by example. Daily liaison with all team members, checking status of all orders to organise resource. Assisting the team in building consignments and unloading containers during manning constraints and enforcing process and operating procedures.
  • Delivering a weekly brief to highlighting the previous weeks performance and highlighting the coming weeks requirements.
  • Carrying out regular stock checks and cycle counts to ensure Inventory accuracy. The counting schedule to include a weekly Aisle check, Monthly high volume, high cost check, 100% 3 times a year.
  • Ensure that staff are assigned all tasks each day Including container unloading, fast next day parcel shipping, pallet orders and stock put away.
  • Responsible for managing orders and workload with Warehouse staff throughout the day.
  • Responsible for Stock receipt – ensure goods are unloaded and put away the same day and that stock is correctly updated into the company ERP.
  • • Ensure weekly that processing storage locations are reviewed and cleared routinely within ERP
  • Ensure the highest standard of Husbandry and cleanliness is maintained in accordance with firm 5S principles.
  • Carry out or oversee quality checks on all key account order by checking and taking images off all consignment prior to shipping.
  • Responsible for maintenance of warehouse equipment ensuring forklifts, scanners are correctly stored, charged and maintained, Including completion of relevant paper work
  • Carry out weekly checks of all consumables and request consignment stock replenishment if needed.
  • Ensure that all communication by CS by email or though Warehouse Enquiries are processed daily by Warehouse Administrator, responsible for communication between Warehouse and Customer Service
  • Ensure that all Workshop functions are run correctly and efficiently to KPI’s, ensuring that warranties and conversions are completed in a timely manner.
  • Support with driving and use of forklift trucks.
  • Carry out Warehouse Quarterly 121s to company policy.
  • Adopt the companies Health and Safety principles and policies to maintain a safe working environment; and areas of concern or near misses are to be reported to the Warehouse Operations Manager.
  • Act as 2IC to the Warehouse Operations Manager, maintaining the operational effectiveness in their absence.
  • Support Warehouse Administration during absence
  • Support of EU processing with 3PL ensuring labelling/ASN done within timescales to ship within Amazon Windows.
  • Support investigation of order or shipping errors/issues or discrepancies raised by customer or finance.
Abilities, Experience & Skills
  • Understanding and utilisation of ERP & WMS systems.
  • 5 Years experience operating within a warehouse operations environment.
  • 2 Years experience supervising warehouse operations staff.
  • Good level of numeracy
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Basic IT skills in Excel / Word / Outlook desirable
  • Team player
  • The successful candidate may be required to travel occasionally
