Job summary

A logistics company in Norwich is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to safely operate forklifts in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Responsibilities include managing health and safety, operating machinery, and stock control. The ideal candidate must hold a valid B1 Counterbalance Forklift Licence and have experience in warehouse operations. Shifts will rotate between morning and evening hours.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of health and safety for yourself and others.
• Drive forklifts and other machinery across all sites as required.
• Complete daily forklift checks and report any faults or defects.
• Operate all machinery safely and efficiently.
• Stack, de-stack, and restack lorries, trailers, and containers.
• Re-stack pallets as needed.
• Sweep and clean the warehouse as directed.
• Perform administration duties related to vehicle loading/unloading.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday
6:00am – 2:00pm / 2:00pm – 10:00pm rotating shifts (37 hours per week)

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of health and safety for yourself and others at work. Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed and promote safe working practices at all times.
• Drive forklifts, power pallet trucks, and other machinery across all sites as required.
• Complete daily forklift checks before use and report any faults or defects to the Line Manager, in line with legal requirements.
• Operate all machinery safely and efficiently.
• Stack, de-stack, and restack lorries, trailers, and/or containers.
• Re-stack pallets as needed.
• Sweep and clean the warehouse, yards, or other areas as directed.
• Perform administration duties related to vehicle loading/unloading and stock control, including writing/recording information, computer inputting, and processing delivery notes.

Requirements:

• Valid and up-to-date B1 Counterbalance Forklift Licence.
• Experience in warehouse operations, including stock handling and paperwork.
