What are we looking for?
Skills & Experience
  • Min three years experience in volunteer management or HR working in private, public or charitable sector
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Create and manage multiple role descriptions
  • Event management ability to organise volunteer appreciation events
  • High level ability to follow-up by email whilst remaining calm to receive an email reply
  • Ability to deliver training & development via Zoom
  • Advance Level Communication (Both Verbal & Written)

What will you be doing?

A new year role opportunity to suit someone who want to make social change by making our volunteers feel welcomed, valued, and empowered to contribute our mission providing free counselling for underserved Black marginalized community.

As Volunteer Manager, you will play a central role in that makes Think Tenacity Academy’s work possible by recruiting, training, and engaging volunteers. You will also line-manage the volunteers promoting a positive and inclusive environment.

Working From Home - HR Key Responsibilities
  • Volunteer Recruitment
  • Lead the recruitment of volunteers using platforms such as Reach Volunteering and other online portals
  • Engagement & Retention
  • Maintain regular communication with volunteers so they feel supported, informed, and connected to the mission
  • Develop and manage volunteer appreciation initiatives to recognise contribution and build community
  • Training via Zoom
  • Implement onboarding and induction processes for new volunteers
  • Ensure volunteers understand Think Tenacity Academy’s values access safeguarding polices
  • Line Management
  • Provide light-touch line management to volunteers, including regular telephone/WhatsApp check-ins.
  • Support volunteers to stay motivated and perform effectively in their roles whilst identifying training needs.
  • Post Administration & Reporting介
  • Maintain accurate post volunteer records for Think Tenacity Academy leadership team and trustees
