Veterinary Care Assistant (Surgical Technician)

Location: Fitzpatrick Referrals, Halfway Lane, Eashing Godalming, Surrey, GU7 2QQ, GB

Fitzpatrick Referrals is looking for a Veterinary Care Assistant – Surgical Technician to join our surgical technician team. The role involves preparing and maintaining surgical instruments, and working closely with the clinical team unlawful to ensure the provision of surgical kits is efficient and accurate for the smooth running of the surgical caseload.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and kit.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to assemble and provide surgical kits.
  • Ensure instruments are sterilised and ready for use prior to procedures.
  • Support the surgical team during caseloads.

Requirements

  • Dynamic individual with POINTER attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Quick learner with exemplary communication skills.
  • Independent initiative and self‑organisation.
  • Experience with animals and/or in a theatre environment is desirable but not essential.

Working Hours

This is a full‑time role, 40‑hour week, with a range of shift patterns between 6am and 9pm. The role includes bank holiday rota, a 1:8 weekend rota with days off in lieu, and a 6‑month training programme.
