Treasurer - Volunteer

Join the SAASS Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes team to support individuals affected by sexual assault and abuse. As treasurer, you will work closely with the CEO to ensure the organization is financially stable and able to continue offering support to survivors.

The treasurer will play a key role in maintaining financial stability, growing the organization sustainably, and expanding the range of services so no one is left without help.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the organisation's continued income growth and ensure compliance with Charity Commission requirements.
  • Agree and monitor a sustainable annual budget.
  • Work with the CEO and designated accountant to oversee the preparation and submission of relevant Charity Commission reports.
  • Attend a monthly meeting with the CEO and a trustee meeting on the third Wednesday of every other month (online) – 6 to 8 hours per month.
  • Run action groups between trustee meetings to develop relevant themes when needed.
Qualifications
  • Accounting experience, preferably using online tools such as Xero.
  • Experience setting and monitoring annual budgets.
  • Ability to advise on financial policies and procedures.
