Trainee Intumescent Estimator – Full‑Time (40 hrs) – Perth

Firespec Ltd – a leading passive fire protection consultancy – is looking for a Trainee Intumescent Estimator to join our growing team. This is a technical, computer‑based role, ideal for someone with strong IT skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Full training will be provided.

Responsibilities
  • Quantify intumescent coatings for fire‑protecting steel structures using construction plans and drawings (computer‑based).
  • Input and manage data using various software systems.
  • Communicate with clients and build strong working relationships.
  • Occasional construction site visits to assist with inspections.
  • Provide additional support across the business when needed, including proofreading technical reports.
Requirements
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to work independently or in a team.
  • Adaptable and eager to learn quickly.
