Trainee HGV Technician at Bristol Waste Company

SALARY:£32,000 per annum

HOURS:40 per week, Monday - Friday, 06.00-14.30 or 1330-2200

LOCATION:Albert Road, Bristol

Purpose of the role:

To train in all aspects of vehicle maintenance gaining experience and qualifications to provide efficient and effective high-quality vehicle maintenance and support to all employees of the workshop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure fleet compliance records and workshop reports are completedcorrectly in date and efficiently retained.
  • Conduct quality control inspections.
  • Repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions.
  • Ensure vehicles comply with statutory legislation.
  • Ensure Brand image is of high standard.
  • Trouble shooting breakdowns.
  • Performing preventative maintenance.
  • Contain costs.
  • Evaluate service and parts options.
  • Ensure facilities are secure

Essential Requirements and Qualifications for the Role:

  • Working knowledge of the vehicle repair industry
  • Ability to work with Job Cards.
  • Qualifications in vehicle maintenance or working towards
  • Hold a full driving licence valid for use in the UK
  • To be able to attend training on related products
