Job description

Highly skilled and experienced Toolmakers are required for the high‑spec finishing of complex machined parts, typically Plastic Injection mould tooling.

Are you a master toolmaker who takes pride in producing parts to exacting standards? We are looking for exceptional Toolmakers to join this expanding team, working on high‑precision tooling for plastic injection moulding and lost‑wax (investment casting). This is a hands‑on role for someone with outstanding finishing skills and a real eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Finish the manufacturing of new tools, dies, moulds and fixtures for plastic injection and lost‑wax casting.
• Assemble, fit and align tooling components to very tight tolerances.
• Work confidently from detailed engineering drawings, CAD models and specifications.
• Select appropriate materials and machining processes for each tool.
• Hand‑finish tools using polishing, stoning, lapping and grinding to achieve demanding surface finishes.
• Deburr, blend and refine surfaces to meet functional and cosmetic standards.
• Inspect finished tools to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface quality.
• Diagnose tooling issues, carry out repairs and modifications, and perform preventative maintenance.
• Support production during tool trials, sampling and first‑off runs, working closely with engineering and quality.
