Tesco Shift Leader – Days – Bath Weston Express

Join Tesco as a Shift Leader and help deliver a great retail experience in Bath Weston Express. This role offers flexible working hours and a pay rate starting at £14.76 an hour, increasing to £15.97 for stores inside the M25.

Overview

As a Shift Leader you will oversee the store from the shop floor, coordinate the team, and ensure the store runs smoothly. Your focus will be on customer service, store operations, and staff coaching.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate duty shifts, ensuring a clean, well‑stocked store that exceeds customer expectations.
  • Support and coach colleagues, giving feedback and encouraging a positive team culture.
  • Manage store performance, working with managers to implement improvement actions.
  • Maintain health and safety routines, ensuring the store stays safe for customers and staff.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, listening to customers and helping them find what they need.
  • Act as the go‑to person for colleagues in the absence of the manager.
Qualifications
  • 18 or over to apply.
  • Strong communication skills and a clear, friendly customer service approach.
  • Ability to lead the store in the manager’s absence and make decisions on the floor.
