Job description
Overview

Join to apply for the Tenders and Bids Volunteer role at Time to Heal Directory Services.

Support Time to Heal Directory by helping us secure funding through tenders and bids. We’re a not-for-profit providing free/low-cost counselling to young people and families. Ideal for someone with bid-writing skills who wants to make a real impact.

What difference will you make?

Your expertise will have a direct and lasting impact on the lives of young people and families who are struggling with their mental health. By helping us secure funding, you’ll enable Time to Heal Directory to provide more counselling sessions, reach more communities, and offer consistent, high-quality support to those in need.

Mental health services are overstretched and often inaccessible for those on low incomes. Your support with tenders and funding bids will allow us to:

  • Grow our therapist network and reduce waiting times
  • Develop targeted mental health programmes
  • Offer support to underrepresented and underserved groups
  • Invest in training and supervision to maintain excellent service quality
  • Create sustainable partnerships with local authorities and commissioners

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to give back by using their professional skills. You’ll be helping us build a stronger, more resilient organisation with the resources to make a real difference – now and in the future.

Together, we can change lives and build a healthier future for young people and families.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in writing or supporting funding bids or tenders (especially within the charity or health and wellbeing sector)
  • An excellent communicator, both written and verbal
  • Detail-oriented and able to tailor applications to meet funder requirements
  • Confident in conducting funding research and interpreting criteria
  • Organised, self-motivated, and reliable
  • Passionate about mental health and improving access to therapeutic support

If you’re looking to use your bid-writing skills to support a meaningful cause and help a grassroots organisation grow, we’d love to hear from you.

What will you be doing?

Time to Heal Directory is a not-for-profit organisation that provides free and discounted counselling to young people and families in need. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Tenders and Bids Volunteer to support us in securing funding to grow and sustain our services.

In this role, you will work closely with our leadership team to identify opportunities, prepare compelling applications, and strengthen our case for support. Your experience and expertise will directly support our mission to offer accessible mental health support to those who need it most.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Researching relevant funding opportunities, tenders, and contracts from local authorities, trusts, and foundations
  • Supporting the preparation and submission of funding applications and bids
  • Helping to write clear, persuasive, and tailored proposals that align with funder priorities
  • Gathering and organising supporting documents, case studies, and service data
  • Developing boilerplate content and templates for future use
  • Working with the team to understand the impact of our work and reflect it in applications
  • Tracking deadlines and helping ensure timely submissions
