A leading automation company is seeking a Tendering Engineer Apprentice in Coventry. This hybrid role focuses on supporting competitive tender submissions in industrial automation projects. The successful candidate will assist in responsibilities like preparing tender submissions, analyzing documents, and learning about pricing. The Tendering Engineer Apprentice will support the preparation of competitive and compliant tender submissions for industrial automation projects across manufacturing and related sectors. The role will provide training in technical pre‑sales engineering, commercial awareness, and bid coordination, with clear progression from a supporting role into owning defined elements of tenders under supervision.

During your apprenticeship, you will receive two different types of training.
On-the-job training will be delivered by Schneider Electric, as your employer. You’ll receive training and supervision to help you perform the job you’ve been hired to do. This will include skills and knowledge that fall outside of the apprenticeship but are needed for the job role. As well as providing on-the-job training, it is important that we support you in additional ways to ensure your success.
Types of support will include:
Off-the-job training is delivered by one of our carefully selected Training Providers during your normal working hours. You will spend at least 20% (average 6 hours per week) of your working hours completing off-the-job training. This is protected time and is a requirement for apprenticeship delivery. This training will teach you the knowledge, skills, and behaviours set out in the apprenticeship standard so you can achieve occupational competence.
37.5 hours per week to be worked from Monday to Friday. Exact start and finish times are to be agreed upon with the Line Manager. Some of these hours will be allocated to off-the-job training as part of your Apprenticeship Programme.

Have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above including Mathematics, English and a STEM-related subject.
No pre-requisite experience required.
