Job Duties

Butler Community College seeks a dynamic and knowledgeable Digital Media Instructor to teach courses in Photoshop, 3D Virtual Environments, Game Storyline & Character Development, and Digital Video Production. The ideal candidate will bring industry expertise, a passion for student success, and the ability to create an engaging, hands‑on learning environment that prepares students for careers in digital media, game design, and content creation.

Qualifications

Required knowledge and skills:

• Adobe Creative Suite, focusing on Photoshop, Substance Designer and/or Substance Painter

Must be committed to student engagement and learning outcomes.

Required experience:

• Experience teaching or as a teaching assistant in the I3D/Gaming field at the collegiate level is preferred.
• Industry experience in the Digital Media or I3D Industries field.

Required educational background:

• Associate’s degree with a Digital Art, Game Design, or I3D emphasis is required (applicable, verifiable industry experience may be substituted for associate’s degree requirement).
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
