Technical Business Analyst – Currys plc

We’re Currys plc recruiting for a Technical Business Analyst to join our TechOps & PMO team. This role focuses on bridging business ideation, requirements, and technical delivery within a telecoms context, with strong emphasis on system development, integration, and solution architecture.

Location: Currys London Campus at Waterloo
Employment type: Permanent, Full Time
Grade: 4

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform structured analysis to understand the full impact of change (documenting current and future technical processes, data flows, and data models).
  • Review and challenge requirements (business and non-functional) and contribute to solution proposals and architecture.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise and Solution Architecture to ensure technical solutions deliver requirements with appropriate artefacts.
  • Assess technical and business/change impacts of proposed solutions and integrations.
  • Contribute to epics and stories for key programmes ensuring actionable requirements for engineering teams.
  • Clarify requirements with business, SMEs, delivery teams, and architects to ensure successful implementation.
  • Be aware of Currys architectural vision and how proposed solutions align with it.
  • Evaluate whether projects require early detailed attention using standard evaluation techniques (size, complexity, integrations).
  • Facilitate early-stage estimation, documenting assumptions, blockers, clarifications, and dependencies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business users, delivery teams, and technical delivery teams to enable collaboration.
  • Deliver to agreed timescales, planning and driving work through project phases.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in telecoms, particularly within the MVNO business unit.
  • Strong understanding of commercial agreements, pricing strategies, and trading terms.
  • Experience launching new commercial partnerships from concept to execution.
  • Ability to develop and execute channel strategies aligned with broader business goals.
  • Comfortable working with performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Familiarity with telecoms compliance requirements (e.g., Ofcom, SIM registration, GDPR).
  • Core competencies: strategic thinker, trusted adviser, clear communicator, analytical thinker, problem solver, knowledge sharer.
  • Exposure to digital and omnichannel strategies for partner engagement and performance tracking.
  • Confident reviewing technical designs, solution architecture, and integrations.
  • Ability to work with unknowns, making reasonable assumptions when needed.
  • Proficient in Agile processes, writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience with full SDLC and delivering results against targets.
  • Experience with Atlassian suite is desirable.
