You’ll play a key role in the development and management of Energy Services’ technology portfolio for decommissioning globally, driving safe, compliant, and innovative design solutions that meet industry standards and customer specifications.

As the go-to expert for technical governance, you’ll shape future offerings for existing and emerging markets while supporting operational teams with application-specific technical guidance throughout projects. This is a pivotal role for someone passionate about delivering quality, safety, and cutting‑edge solutions on a global scale.

What you'll be doing:
  • Provide global technical leadership across engineering, driving strategy implementation and best practice.
  • Act as the technical focal point for Decommissioning technology, particularly Abrasive Water Jet Cutting.
  • Oversee technically complex scopes, supporting operations and projects in line with governance and procedures.
  • Own and maintain technical governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Approve technical input for bids, project‑specific standards, and major design scopes to meet customer requirements.
  • Review customer technical requirements and ensure fit‑for‑purpose design solutions across all capability streams.
  • Shape future technical offerings and capability development for emerging markets and business growth.
  • Make robust decisions on complex engineering risks, balancing safety, operability, cost, and performance.
  • Ensure health, safety, sustainability, and legal compliance, safeguarding personnel and product integrity.
What we're looking for:
  • Experience in subsea cutting tools, ROV tooling, or Phase 3 well P&A, with extensive knowledge of the Subsea Water Abrasive Cutting industry.
  • Degree or professional qualification (e.g., Chartered Engineer) desirable.
  • Proven track record in technical and operational management, including design integration of engineering systems.
  • Strong experience managing risk across the project lifecycle and delivering safe, compliant solutions to customer specifications.
  • Ability to respond innovatively to evolving customer needs and think creatively to solve complex problems.
  • Demonstrated capability to challenge conventional thinking and drive technical excellence
  • Competitive salary and benefits package aligned with experience (Private Medical Insurance, Life Assurance, Cycle to work scheme, Company Pension, etc.)
  • Clear pathways for career development and organisational visibility.
