Join our Care Home Team as the Team Manager for our Wiltshire and BaNES Community Services, part of the Somerset Care Group.

The role of Team Manager is key to our home care operation and with the support of the Registered Manager involves:

  • Mentoring, developing, and reviewing your team of carers to build skills and knowledge.
  • Supporting the work of the team including: monitoring performance and service delivery, responding to emergencies and dealing with complaints.
  • Ensuring effective communication with staff, customers, the general public and others as appropriate.
  • Working with the Registered Manager to promote and grow the service.
  • Working in partnership with the recruitment team to on board new staff efficiently and to ensure correct staffing levels are maintained.
  • Responding to referrals within 24 hours, arranging initial visits and providing advice and information to customers on the range of services available to them.
  • Undertaking quality monitoring visits, actioning any points raised, and updating the Registered Manager where appropriate.
  • Ensuring the highest level of customer care is achieved.
  • Building local links with key partners e.g., GP’s, CCG, Health partners etc.
  • Supporting the Registered Manager to maintain CQC compliance and best practice.
  • Reporting and responding to safeguarding incidents efficiently and in line with procedures.

What you’ll need:

  • To be passionate about making a difference
  • Level 3 in Care or Equivalent and experience and knowledge within Health and Social Care sector
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and engage a team.
  • Effective communication skills – both written and verbal
  • An understanding of general business procedures, e.g. sales and marketing, operations, human resources, and business financing
  • Proven experience in providing high levels of customer service in a service-based setting.
  • Awareness of the principles of good practice and providing a quality service.
  • Full UK Driving licence and access to own vehicle.
