Job summary

Teaching Assistant – (Student Behaviour)- 35 Hours per week, term time only + 5 PL days
R&C Grade E (NJC points 15-18) £24,756 to £26,003 actual salary

Horizons Specialist Academy Trust consists of eight academies and one sixth form across the Tees Valley and North Yorkshire areas Redcar serving a population in excess of 1000 students aged 5 to 19 with a broad range of learning difficulties.

Mo Mowlam Academy joined the Trust in April 2019 and currently provides for up to 100 pupils aged 5 to 16 who have SEMHD as their identified primary need,

We are seeking an outstanding, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to focus on Student Behaviour. The right candidate will work alongside staff, using Academy procedures, to manage the improvement of behaviour, attitudes and pastoral care of all students.

Previous experience of working with students with SEMHD and knowledge of the THRIVE approach would be desirable. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential requirements of this post.
