Overview

GLL is looking for Swimming Teachers to join our team at Kensington Leisure Centre. This role is more than just a teaching position; it offers a career with the UK’s largest leisure operator and a charitable social enterprise.

What you’ll do
  • Maintain a positive image of the Centre by providing a welcoming, helpful, and professional poolside service.
  • Comply with the Customer Charter and maintain high standards of service.
  • Ensure the safety and control of pupils during lessons and enforce all relevant regulations.
  • Actively encourage pupils to enrol in further courses and short courses.
  • Assist with new‑enrolments and re‑enrolments as required by the General Manager.
  • Understand and follow the Safeguarding Policy & Procedure and Behaviour policy contained within the Swim School product.
  • Record and complete relevant awards in line with expected standards, ensuring that the levels are obtained.
  • Teach to the standard set within the product manual to ensure a consistent approach across all centres.
What you need
  • STA Award, Certificate Level, or Swim England Level 2 qualified.
  • Ideally have the National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers & Coaches.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and other relevant legislation.
  • Understanding of Child Protection Policy.
