Support worker – Supported Living – Salary Package from £24,305

As a Support worker with Progress you will be working with our young adults to enable them to lead full and active lives within our Supported living services. You will be supporting young people in their home and in the community, taking them on social activities and helping them to pursue their interests.

No 2 days will be the same! If you are sociable this could be a fabulous role for you!

We are seeking inspirational, caring and motivated people who believe they can make a difference in the lives of the young people that we support.

You will be based around the Dudley and/or Cradely Heath area and we have full time or part time opportunities to work days or nights.

Qualifications

Ideally you will hold, or be working towards NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.

Experience
  • Experience as a support worker working with young people with moderate to severe learning disabilities and/or physical disabilities, Autism, ADHD, sensory impairment, and associated behavioural challenges and/or complex care needs.
  • A passion to care and a dedication to make this young person's life the best it can be.
  • At least 2 years’ experience within a Support worker role.
Skills/Abilities
  • Strong communication skills.
  • The ability to communicate on various levels.
  • Working knowledge of, following, and working to Care Plans.
  • Experience of Conflict Management and dealing with difficult situations.
  • The ability to work effectively during high pressured situations.
