A local support services provider in the North East is seeking a Support Worker to assist a client in building confidence and accessing the community. Responsibilities include supporting the client during grocery shopping trips and swimming sessions. Ideal candidates should be able to swim, have access to a car with business insurance, and ideally have experience in mental health support. This part-time role requires 4 hours of support per week at £13 per hour.
Support Worker required to support Sarah (aged 44 years) who lives in Gilesgate, Durham. Sarah is usually an outgoing person but has lost a lot of self-confidence recently. Sarah has a diagnosis of schizoaffective disorder and experiences thought broadcasting and constant voice hearing. Sarah requires support to build up her confidence in accessing the community; particularly in going swimming and grocery shopping.
4 hours per week £13 per hour
This would consist of 2 x 2 hour slots each week. These would need to be on weekday mornings, preferably on Mondays, Tuesdays or Thursdays.
Enhanced DBS will be required, employer will cover the cost.
