Job summary

A leading adult social care provider in the UK is looking for dedicated support workers in Preston. In this role, you will empower adults with diverse needs, including learning disabilities and mental health challenges. Key responsibilities include providing high-quality personalized care and engaging clients in meaningful activities. Candidates should possess integrity, a commitment to training, and ideally hold RQF Level 2 in social care. Job description

Location: Preston, Lancashire PR2 8PJ

Shifts: Full time 42 hours per week (Monday to Sunday on a rota basis)

Pay Rate: £12.50 - £12.76 per hour (dependant on qualifications)

Role Overview
  • You’ll support adults with lots of different needs such as learning disabilities, autism, ABI and mental health
  • You’ll support them to flourish in a place they call home. You’ll empower the people we support to be ambitious and live fulfilled lives
  • You’ll give high‑quality support tailored to people’s needs
  • You’ll do activities like cooking, art or listening to music. And get out for movie nights and food outings
  • You’ll provide personal care including support with continence needs; health and medication needs; handling personal possessions; finances and documents; shopping. Help them to have good levels of personal and environmental hygiene
  • You’ll follow our procedures, so we give consistent, safe, and reliable care and support
Key Skills and Experience
Essential
  • Good general education
  • Honesty, reliability, trustworthiness, and a passion to make a difference
  • Commitment to the aims and objectives of the home and of Ivolve
  • Satisfactory Police Check and check against the ISA List (where applicable)
  • A commitment to undertake training and development
Desirable
  • RQF Level 2 or above in social care
  • Previous experience within social care setting
  • Knowledge and commitment regarding Equal Opportunities
  • Knowledge of the regulatory frameworks
  • Confident IT user
