A civil engineering firm is inviting first-year students to apply for its scholarship scheme. The program offers paid placements mentored by experienced engineers, focusing on civil engineering and bridges. Candidates should have excellent A-level grades in Maths and Physics and be enrolled in an integrated Masters in Civil Engineering. Upon graduation, there are opportunities to join the Graduate Programme.
Every year we invite talented 1st year civil engineering students to apply for our Scholarship Scheme. This successful scheme has been running for over 15 years, providing industrial experience to civil engineering students with an interest in bridges and civil structures. Many of these scholarship students have gone on to join us as graduate engineers and to progress through the company into senior roles.
Our scheme includes the following paid placements where you will be mentored by experienced senior engineers and work on real projects:
Rates of pay increase during each placement and exceed the Real Living Wage. It is our hope that, after graduating with a Masters degree (2:1 or higher), scholarship students will join our Graduate Programme.
Eligibility: If you’re a first-year student enrolled on, or committed to changing to, an integrated Masters in Civil Engineering with the option for an industrial placement year, and with excellent A-level grades (A or A*) in Maths and Physics, we’d love to hear from you!
You’ll need to be developing a good theoretical understanding of structural analyses, and be able to manage your time effectively.
Applications are open from October to December.
