Stores Operative – Worksop, Nottinghamshire, S80 2RS

Permanent – Full-Time

Salary: Up to £15.32 per hour

Days: Tuesday to Friday 05:00 – 15:30

Pay Rate: £15.32 per hour

What you’ll be doing

As a stores operative you will receive and store goods received by the factory, pick and pack items for the high‑care preparation area, and perform manual transfers of products.

The role involves operating counterbalance trucks, reach trucks, PPTs, and other warehouse equipment, and requires a high level of physical activity.

Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries at Goods In; verify quantities and book stock into the Aurora system.
• Store and locate goods within the warehouse areas.
• Pick, pack, and transfer products to the high‑care prep area.
• Book stock to prep using computers or JBA guns.
• Rotate stock to use the oldest items first.
• Operate trucks including counterbalance, PPT, and reach.

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience with pallet trucks (desirable but not essential).
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Basic maths skills for booking stock and counting inventory.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical strength, fitness and dexterity for lifting heavy packages.
• Capability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Computer literacy, including warehouse management systems (Aurora).
• Excellent organisational and record‑keeping skills.
• Honesty and trustworthiness.
• Effective work under limited supervision.
