Rayden Engineering Ltd is a Mechanical & Civil Engineering Company based in the East Midlands of England specialising in the pre‑fabrication, welding and installation of pipework systems of a wide variety of alloys. We are also involved in the installation of cross‑country pipelines, pipeline diversions (up to 42.000) and above ground installations (AGIs). We are currently executing major contracts nationwide for major oil & gas companies that include AGIs, pipelines and major civil works.

Our continued success and growth over the past number of years now necessitates the appointment of an experienced Stores Manager.

Position

Stores Manager – Head office location in Ilkeston, Derbyshire

Responsibilities
  • Perform roles and responsibilities of a Stores Person within the Stores environment.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the stores process including receiving of material, shelving, stock maintenance, stock counting and accuracy.
  • Organise and plan the stores department.
  • Process Stores returns.
  • Check stock of material.
  • Conduct monthly stock checks.
  • Counter service – issue materials, consumables & equipment to workshop operatives over the counter.
  • Ensure safe and environmentally sound working practices are adhered to.
  • Check goods delivered vs delivery documentation for discrepancies.
  • Pack and prepare goods for dispatch.
  • Flexibility in working approach.
  • Be computer literate and maintain stock accuracy.
  • Hold a Fork Lift Truck licence.
  • Monitor returned tools & equipment and report any damages to line manager.
  • Check that goods are checked off in an accurate and timely manner and check for damages and quantity.
  • Allocate stock to projects, ensuring sufficient stock available and on time.
  • Unload and load incoming and outgoing vehicles.
  • Keep the yard & stores clean and tidy, including perimeter checks as necessary.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a similar Stores role.
  • Material handling.
  • Hands‑on with can‑do attitude.
  • Computer literate.
  • Good listener and team player.
  • Methodical and organised and able to work on own initiative.
  • Fork Lift Truck Licence.
