About this opportunity

Referrals will come from the Domestic Abuse Supported Accommodation (DASA) Officers within the DASA Teams. The new post holder will act as a secondary allocated worker for children who are victims of domestic abuse.

This part time post is dedicated to the Barrow area but may at times require travel to other parts of Westmorland and Furness.

The Role
  • Provide a range of interventions and support to children and young people who are at risk of or exposed to domestic abuse.
  • Work as part of a specialised team.
  • Collaborate with the child’s care team to ensure all professionals working with the child understand domestic abuse and lead on planning interventions to support the child to reduce risk and stay safe.
  • Support the specialist domestic abuse teams with other functions as required.
  • Holding the IDVA qualification is desirable.
