The team plays its home fixtures at Joie Stadium, a 7,000 capacity arena. The stadium sits on the wider Etihad Campus, which also encompasses the City Football Academy, where we are building a new world‑class Women’s First Team Training Centre.

To coincide with the expansion, we’re looking for a talented Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in delivering exceptional, performance‑driven food for Manchester City’s Women’s 1st Team Facility. You’ll play a key role in menu innovation, daily service and maintaining elite standards in a collaborative, high‑energy kitchen environment.

Your Impact

To be successful in this role; you will:

  • Assist with new dish creation, menu development and daily food preparation to nutrition specifications.
  • Support clear communication and collaboration within the brigade.
  • Implement kitchen management processes, HACCP standards and required documentation.
  • Support stock control, ordering, supplier management and cost monitoring.
  • Uphold hygiene and safety standards across all kitchen operations.
  • Travel as required to deliver consistent service at home or away.
  • Contribute to improving techniques, processes and working practices within the team.
What we are looking for
  • Previous experience as a high‑performing chef within a professional hospitality environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to adapt to changing demands.
  • Sound knowledge of food trends and creative presentation.
  • HACCP & Food Safety Level 3 certified.
  • Experience working with suppliers and supporting stock control.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Beneficial: Nutrition knowledge, experience working with a nutritionist, stock‑control expertise, a second language or experience in elite sport.
