Solicitor - Land and Property Litigation

Join Harrison Drury Solicitors as a Land and Property Litigation Solicitor and work with a market‑leading firm recognized in the Legal 500 for its technical expertise.

The role is based in either Kendal or Preston and focuses on handling a full range of contentious property disputes, from landlord and tenant matters to property contract claims and professional negligence involving property professionals.

We are looking for a NQ‑4 years PQE solicitor who is self‑directed, can manage a caseload, and is driven to grow within the team. The successful candidate will support senior fee earners and develop strong client relationships.

The team and the work we do

The team consists of 3 Partners, 1 Legal Director, 2 Associates, 3 solicitors, 1 trainee and 2 Paralegals. Clientele ranges from independent business owners to large property developers and individuals in both commercial and residential sectors.

Typical work includes landlord and tenant matters such as lease renewals, dilapidations, break clauses, forfeiture, trespass and possession instructions, boundary disputes, rights of way/easements and restrictive covenants.

  • Develop relationships with clients

  • Support other team members, including junior staff and support staff
  • Develop knowledge, experience and expertise in the subject areas
  • Deliver high‑quality legal advice
  • Work collaboratively with the team and other teams at Harrison Drury
  • Promote Harrison Drury’s values internally and externally
Skills and experience
  • NQ‑4 years PQE
  • Based at either Kendal or Preston office
  • Experience in real property, landlord and tenant disputes and contractual disputes
  • Ability to manage own caseload with appropriate supervision
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills with the ability to prioritise work to meet timescales and develop processes
  • Willingness to engage in business development and grow the property litigation offering at Harrison Drury
