WhatYou’llDo

You’llhelp shape the future of IoT at eShepherd-taking ideas from the paddock to the cloud.You’llwork alongside hardware and embedded engineers, ship features that farmers use everyday, andlearn how to design for reliability in real-world conditions. Expect plenty of support, code reviews, and hands-on problem-solving as you grow.



  • Design and ship resilient devicetocloud features (LoRa/LoRaWAN, LTEM/NB-IoT, MQTT/CoAP)

  • Integrate with microcontrollers and embedded firmware; collaborate closely with hardware engineers

  • Architect secure, scalable connectivity (secure boot, OTA updates, credential rotation)

  • Building visibility tools such as dashboard

  • Building maintenance and performance monitoring systems

  • Experience or strong interest in IoT development and wireless communication

  • Solid skills in Node.js, C and shell script, and a knack for working withUbuntuLinuxandembedded devices

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) andIoTprotocols like MQTT, CoAP,andLoRa/LoRaWAN,Protobuf

  • Good verbal and written communication skills


Bonus points ifyou’vetinkered with microcontrollers, LoRa gateways,cloud computingor have a passion for analytics andagritech-but enthusiasm and willingness to learn matter most!


Nice to haves:


  • Experience with LoRa gateways

  • Experience with LTE-M/NB-IoTconnectivity

  • Exposure to ML for anomaly detection

  • Raspberry Pi/Arduino/ESP32tinkering; practical hardware comms

  • AWS certs
